De-Fang the Unions
Pixels and Dots - Basic
Privacy Invasion

It's hard to believe that we're into another year in the 21st Century. I've just finished reading Robert A. Heinlein's first book "For Us the Living" - finally published years after his death and despite the fact that he thought he'd destroyed all copies of it. An interesting read, not because it is science fiction and not really because it is from my favourite author - but because so many of the things he talks about in it, written from the point of view of someone from 1936 transplanted to 2086, are relevant to today. I expect I'll write some things over the next while to illustrate why I feel that way.

In the mean time, I've just finished an article that is an Introduction to Internet and Computer Privacy Invasion - for those of us who don't really know what all the computers out there are doing when we interact with them. It includes some lessons on how and why you should push back at the invasive techniques and technologies used to gather your profile information.

Thanks for visiting - and please feel free to give me some feedback to richard@pacdat.net
