Wording is 'as low as' and refers to the annual 30 hour/month account at $240/year.

Different level of service. Try asking a technical question of their customer support.

The general Wimsey account charges you only for hours you use with a minimum $4/month if you use the account at all and no minimum if you don't use it at all (no incoming E-mail etc.) There is no equivallent account at any BBS/or direct internet provider.

You may also purchase bulk accounts with Wimsey which can lower your hourly to the above mentioned $0.66/hour under the same kind of account you can get from the BBSs, ie prepaid in bulk for a year and if you don't use it you lose it. In Wimsey's case however we count hours by the month, not the day, and you can use them in any amount at any time. We also have a much lower number of busy signals (less than 1% in the 4 busiest hours) and have much superior equipment and network bandwidth. You get what you pay for.
