Over the past 20+ years I have written many articles for local (to Vancouver) journals and magazines as well as an extended stint as editor and major contributor to the webzine "Digital Rag" published by Wimsey. During the explosion of the Internet into everyday life from 1993 to 1996, I spent much of my time doing seminars and being interviewed about my and Wimsey's part in the explosion. Some of my writings and the interviews will be collected here. In addition to the articles and documents I write, from time to time I give talks to interested groups on various aspects of the technologies today. These range from the Internet (hot between 1993 and 1996) to Linux and "open source" software and now systems security (hot today), to telecommunications and convergence (hot now and into the future). While I don't generally do prepared speeches, so don't have the text to give out, I will put things like resource lists and overhead transparency copies here from time to time. |
